Hi guys. Thanks for your comments; they've made me feel better. I'm not sure if I'm going to make my goal of 3 pounds this week or not. It's, uh, that time and I've just been feeling like crap. Earlier I was feeling really bad (when I first started writing this post), and in the middle of a pity party when I got a phone call from my sister-in-law. We spent an hour on the phone just chatting. It was nice. It helped me break out of my 'I'm good for nothing' attitude. I make mistakes. Everyone does. It doesn't mean I can't learn from them. It also doesn't mean I'm good for nothing either. The Lord knows I'm good for something. My wonderful husband thinks I'm good for something or else he wouldn't have married me (as he likes to remind me). My friends think I'm good for something. So I need to think I'm good for something! I CAN do this! I am a great person and I shouldn't let my mistakes get me down. I should hold my chin up and say "I made a mistake. Heaven knows it's not the first, and it certainly won't be the last. But what can I LEARN from it?" The day is not over yet, so I'm going to move forward.
PS Did you know that if you have heartburn that won't go away, that its not from having too much stomach acid, it's from having too little? I sure as heck didn't! Leamon and I were looking for ways to get rid of my heartburn, when we came across several articles that talked about having too little stomach acid and what that does to your body. I was amazed! Anyway, that's all I'm going to say on the subject, but my next post will probably be all about that. Just so you know. :)

It's odd..but every since I came to God, I haven't cared that much about my weight..and if you had known me longer you would know how amazing that is! I think I have tried every single diet out there!! Love you Rae Rae! Hey, on a side note..would you be interested in watching E on wednesday nights sometimes? Let me know!
ReplyDeleteThat's the best attitude to have! Have you met FlyLady yet? If not, you need to. www.flylady.net
ReplyDeleteAlso, I once read that they did a study of people who were dieting and they found that people who committed to a diet 7 days a week actually lost LESS weight than people who committed to diet 6 days a week. The tighter the constraints we put on ourselves the harder we fight against them. Be nice to yourself because your hubby and your friends (like me) are right- you're awesome! :-)
You can't tell by looking at me now, but I used to be little. :) Like, Madi little. hah I got that way by drinking only water, I still do this, and really watching what I ate 5 days a week. The weekends would be "Eat what I want", but didn't go too crazy. I lost quiet a bit of weight by doing that.
